Mr. Damon brings hi-energy and fun theater experiences to kids of all ages.  Audiences will take a journey through puppets, music, creativity  and fun!  He has performed at schools, theaters, and libraries across the Southeast USA.  Mr. Damon is a Georgia Council for the Arts teaching artist and Lead Teaching Artist at the Center for Puppetry Arts.  His shadow puppets have been featured at Dragon Con, the Great World Lodge, and on Marvel's Hawkeye on Disney+.

Traveling the Silk Road with Puppetry of Asia
Adventure along the silk road with Mr. Damon and Fidget the Squirrel as we explore fascinating Asian puppetry traditions!  This captivating performance includes mythical storytelling, authentic musical instruments and cultural traditions, comedy, and audience participation.  This is a favorite among teachers and students for its entertaining demonstration of history, music, stories, and puppetry traditions of Asian cultures.

Please note:  The live version will tell some of these stories and show many of the same puppets.  When performed live there will be audience interaction energy and students will be brought up to play the characters of the stories as Mr. Damon narrates.

TECHNICAL RIDER for PUPPETRY OF ASIA - Mr. Damon's Shadow Puppet Theater

  • For shadow puppet segments, we will need someone to be available to turn off the room lights during the performance
  • Staging area: 10' wide x 10' deep
  • 2 large tables and 1 power outlet on the stage
  • Audience access to stage by steps or ramp for audience participants
  • Load in and Set up requires 1.5 hours prior to show.  Strike requires about an hour to pack up the show.
  • Performance duration: 45 minutes
  • Sound: If there is a PA at the venue we will require 1 RCA input for music and 1 1/4 input for the wireless microphone.  If no PA, I can provide one.
